BIRA 106A — Penalty for failure to appoint members on Joint Committee

Statutory text

Any employer who fails to appoint members of a Joint Committee to be constituted on an application made by the union within the period specified in the order made under sub-section (1) of section 29 shall, be liable to a penalty which may extend to fifty thousand rupees and in the case of a continuing failure with an additional penalty which may extend to five hundred rupees for every day during which such failure continues.
