Statutory text

If, as a result of any redistribution or transfer of land under the provisions of this Act, any area in excess of the economic holding or ceiling area, which a person is entitled to hold under this Act is left over as a fragment, the Collector may, [ *] permit such fragment to remain with either of the holders of the land, having regard to the efficient use thereof for agricultural purposes.
