Gujarat High Court Civil Manual (subordinate court practice), 1960

Attorneys and Advocates of the High Court, when appearing in Civil Courts subordinate to the High Court, shall wear a black coat and a Barrister's Gown; they shall wear bands if the Presiding Officer of the said Court wears them. The wearing of a head dress is optional. A gown of the standard pattern has been deposited in the Registrar's Office and may be seen on application to the Assistant Registrar (Establishment). Every lawyer when appearing in the Civil Court, subordinate to the High Court, shall wear a black coat.
