Gujarat High Court Civil Manual (subordinate court practice), 1960
A party who desires the attendance of any witnesses before the Court, or before a commissioner appointed to take evidence, shall file a list of such witnesses stating the full name, residence and occupation or description of each person and whether he is required to give evidence as an expert or otherwise or to produce any document, and in the latter case, specifying the date and description of the document so as to identify it. The party shall, along with the requisite process-fee, pay into Court the prescribed diet-money, travelling allowance and other expenses.
