Gujarat Money-Lenders Act, 2011
Subject to the provisions of sections 176 to 179 of Chapter IX of the Contract Act, 1872 or anything contained in any law for the time being 9 of 1872. in force, no Money-Lender shall dispose off any article taken from a debtor as a pawn, pledge or security for the loan advanced to him, before a period of two years from the date stipulated for final repayment of the loan.
