Gujarat Money-Lenders Act, 2011
(1) The Bombay Money-Lenders Act, 1946 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal of the Act refer to in sub-section (1) (hereinafter in this section refer to as the "said Act")— (a) any license issued under the said Act and validly in force immediately before the appointed day shall be deemed to be the registration issued under this Act, and (b) any appointment, notification, order, rule, form, notice or register made, issued or maintained under the said Act shall, so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, continue in force and be deemed to have been made, issued or maintained under the provisions of this Act, unless and until it is superseded by any appointment, notification, order, rule, form, notice or register made, issued or maintained under the provisions of this Act. (3) Any other thing done or action taken under the said Act, so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act and shall continue in force accordingly, unless and until superseded by any thing done or any action taken under this Act.
