Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1993
All questions before a meeting of a taluka panchayat or committee thereof, shall be decided by majority of votes of the members present and unless otherwise provided in this Act, the presiding officer of the meeting shall have a second or casting vote in all cases of equality of votes: Provided that in such circumstances and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, a decision on any question before a committee may be taken by circulating the propositions therefor for the votes of members.
