GPMCA 20 — Constitution of Standing Committee.

Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949

Statutory text

(1) The Standing Committee shall consist of twelve councillors.

(2) The Corporation shall at its first meeting after general elections appoint twelve persons out of its own body to be members of the Standing Committee. ¶[ * * * ] ¶[(7) (i) The term of the members appointed under sub-section (2) shall be two and a half years;

(ii) the members shall be eligible for reappointment. ¶[ * * * ] ]
