Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
The Commissioner shall provide or appoint in proper and convenient situations public receptacles, depots and places for the temporary deposit or final disposal of — (a) dust, ashes, refuse and rubbish; (b) trade refuse; (c) carcasses of dead animals; (d) excrementitions and polluted matter: Provided that the said matters shall not be finally disposed of in any place or manner in which the same have not heretofore been so disposed of, without the sanction of the Corporation or in any place or manner which the '[State] Government thinks fit to disallow.
