Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
No person shall, without a licence from the Commissioner, sell or expose for sale — (a) any four-footed animal or any meat or fish intended for human food, in any place other than a municipal or private market ; (b) ices and aerated waters, kulfi, sugar-cane juice, [cut or peeled fruit,] vegetables, any confectionery or sweetmeats whatsoever or such other cooked food or other articles intended for human consumption as may from time to time by public notice be specified by the Commissioner, in any place other than a municipal or private market or licenced eating house or sweetmeat shop.
