Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
(1) For every ward, there shall be a list of voters. (2) The list of voters shall be the same as the electoral roll of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly prepared and revised in accordance with the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1950 for the time being in force and as revised, modified, up-dated and published in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (3). (3) Subject to the superintendence, direction and control of the State Election Commission, the list of voters shall be revised, modified, up-dated and published by such officers as may be designated by the State Election Commission in this behalf in the prescribed manner.
