Gujarat Police Act, 1951
The State Government, whenever it shall seem necessary, may by State notification in the Official Gazette make an order to such effect as any order if made by a Magistrate under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, could be continued in force by the State Government under the said Code.
