Statutory text

(1) The Police officer on operational duties in the field viz. Inspector General of Police in a range, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officer and police officer posted as on Officer incharge of the Police Station shall ordinarily have a minimum tenure of two years on such post.
