Statutory text

[In any area outside the charge of a Commissioner], a Police officer may take charge of any animal falling under the provisions of the Cattle Trespass Act, 1871, [] which may be found straying in a street and may take or send the sum to the nearest pound, and the owner and other persons concerned shall thereon become subject to the provision of [that Act].
