[ 77(* * *)] Notwithstanding anything contained in the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890, [the Charity Commissioner, Bombay (hereinafter in this section referred to as "the Charity Commissioner")] shall be deemed to be and to have always been the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments for [that part of the +State of Bombay to Explanation on report of auditor. Charity Commissioner to be Treasurer of Charitable Endowments under Act VI of 1890. which this Act extends] appointed under the provisions of the said Act and the property vesting in the said Treasurer before the date on which this Act comes into force shall be deemed to vest in the Charity Commissioner as the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments; and the provisions of the said Act shall apply to the Charity Commissioner as the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments appointed under the said Act.
