Gujarat Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1973
(1) With effect on and from such date as the State Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, there shall be established a Board to be called the Gujarat Slum Clearance Board. (2) The Board shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal, and shall, by the said name sue and be sued, and shall be competent to acquire and hold property, both movable and immovable and to contract and do all things necessary for the purposes of this Act.
