The Act is made applicable to the Municipal Corporation limits of the City of Ahmedabad, Baroda and Surat. The Gujarat Prevention of Begging Rules, 1964, are also made applicable to these areas. All corresponding laws and those specified in the schedule attached to the Act in force in the areas where this Act is applied, stand repealed.
