Statutory text

Section 11 of the Act provides for penalty for employing or causing persons to beg or using them for purposes of begging. It also provides that whoever, having the custody, charge or care of a child connives at or encourages the employment or the causing of a child to solicit or receive alms shall on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a term from one to three years. The offences under sections 6 and 11 of this Act are cognizable and non-bailable.
