Section 8 states that a court can make an order on the parent or other person liable to maintain the beggar to contribute to his maintenance, if able to do so, in the prescribed manner as stated under section 8 (2) and (3) of the Act. Government is maintaining Receiving Centres and beggars' detention homes for male and female beggars wherein provision for the teaching of agricultural, industrial and other pursuits and for the general education and medical care is made.
