Every officer in charge of a jail, on receiving a petition of appeal or a revision application to the High Court against the decision or order of the Sessions Judge shall at once intimate the fact to the Sessions Judge and at the same time inform him whether the petition of appeal or revision application is accompanied by a copy of the Sessions Judge's judgment. If the petition of appeal or revision application be not accompanied by such a copy, the Sessions Judge shall at once forward to the High Court a certified copy of the judgment.
