Any instance of misconduct or abuse of authority by a Police Officer, which may come to the notice of the Magistrate, shall be reported to the Sessions Judge through the Chief Judicial Magistrate or the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, as the case may be, to whom the Magistrate is subordinate.
