Statutory text

Criminal Appeals, Applications for Revision and other Petitions shall be received by the Clerk of the Court of the Sessions Court. He shall examine the proceedings and note in writing whether they conform to the provisions of the Act under which they are purported to have been filed and of the Court-fees Act and Limitation Act. He shall obtain the order of the Sessions Judge in the matter.
