Gujarat High Court Criminal Manual (subordinate court practice), 1977
(1) After completing his inspection, the Inspecting Officer shall draw up an inspection report. If the inspection has been by a Judge other than the Sessions Judge, he shall submit it to the Sessions Judge. (2) The Sessions Judge or the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, as the case may be, shall forward a copy of the inspection report to the Magistrate for his information and guidance. He should also issue suitable instructions, wherever they are considered necessary, for the guidance of the Magistrate and the members of his establishment. (3) The Sessions Judge or the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, as the case may be, may also, if he so deems proper, circulate amongst all Magistrate subordinate to him, the instructions issued by him on any points of general importance. (4) The Sessions Judge or the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate as the case may be, should forward a report to the High Court in form No. 78, soon after the inspection has been completed by him.
