(I) When charge sheet i.e., report under Section 173, Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, is produced in the Court, the Police Officer has to forward all documents or relevant extract thereof on which prosecution wants to rely and also the police statements, as provided in Section 173 of the Code. The Officer of the Court receiving such documents should carefully verify them and keep them in proper and safe custody. The Officer receiving such documents should not part with them except they are given to copying clerks of Court.
