The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make regulations* for the driving of motor vehicles. Objects and Reasons. - Clause 116 confers power on the State Government and any authority authorised by the State Government to erect traffic signs on public road for the information of road users. It also empowers certain officers to remove from the public road any s ign which is likely to distract the attention of a driver.
