Driving when mentally or physically unfit to drive- Whoever drives a motor vehicle in any public place when he is to his knowledge vehicle to be a source of danger to the public, shall be punishable for the first offence with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees and for a second or subsequent offence with fine which may extent to five Hundred rupees. Corresponding Law. - Section 186 corresponds to section 118 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939. Objects and Reasons. - Clause 186 provides for penalty for driving a motor vehicle when the driver is mentally or physically unfit to drive.
